Shirodhara

Continuous flow of warm oil on the forehead. Deep nervous system relaxation, stress and insomnia relief.

What is
Shirodhara?

Shirodhara (from Sanskrit: "shiro" — head, "dhar" — continuous flow) is one of the deepest Ayurvedic procedures, where warm herbal oil is continuously poured on the forehead in the "third eye" area (ajna chakra).

The procedure affects the limbic system and hypothalamus, regulating the autonomic nervous system. After Shirodhara, patients describe a feeling of "deep inner peace" compared to meditation after years of practice.

Duration: 45-75 minutes. Course: 7-14 days. Sesame oil with herbs (brahmi, ashwagandha, muktap) is used.
